Eligibility
Women need to be referred by their physician to participate in this program. The Patient Navigator Program for Women of Color is seeking to partner with community-based physicians in our efforts to provide services to African-American women diagnosed or at high risk for breast cancer.
Eligibility Criteria:
- African-American descent
- Dense breast tissue noted by mammogram
- Between 35 and 55 years of age; however exceptions will be considered after discussion with the PCP.
- Sister, mother or paternal aunt with breast cancer before the age of 55 -OR – the woman herself has a recent history of premenopausal contralateral breast cancer.
