This conference will provide investigators with a unique opportunity to exchange scientific information, identify research tools and opportunities, and encourage enhancement of the utility of aquatic models for studies of human disease.
• The science: a range of presentations on recent discoveries from a variety of fields that are not typically covered in more specialized scientific conferences
• The technology: introduction and discussion of technologies being developed using aquatic models
• The resources: current resources available and identify resource needs of the research community essential to support advancement of a variety of animal models
• The results: information within a broad range of disciplines involving various animal models, required methods and proven approaches

Banquet:
A North Carolina-style buffet banquet will be featured on Friday evening, February 1. The banquet will be held on the Duke campus and will feature a locally inspired Southern menu, a hosted bar offering beer, wine and soft drinks, and a bluegrass band. The banquet and transportation to and from the Millennium Hotel are included in the registration fee for conference attendees. Spouses, guests, Duke faculty and students who wish to attend the banquet are welcome to do so and need only pay the very reasonable banquet fee.
Call for Abstracts: Abstracts on topics relating to aquatic animals as models for human disease are solicited for inclusion in the Conference program book and for poster display.
