Clinical Trials Offer More Hope

| A clinical trial is an organized program of study designed to test the safety and effectiveness of a new therapy. While the word “trial” indicates that the treatment is experimental, we know that clinical trials get results. Patients on clinical trials receive access to new treatments early in their development.
At Duke, more than 66 percent of our adult patients and 75 percent of our pediatric patients are enrolled in clinical trials. We take pride in progressing rapidly from clinical trials to standardized treatment options. |
