Faces of Hope | Renee Barnes

Renee Barnes

My name is Reneé Barnes. I was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme on March 9, 2000. I have had Glio wafers, 6 weeks of radiation, 3 cycles of CCNU, 2 cycles of Temodar, and 2 cycles of CPT-11. Hope to me means my faith in God. God has sent this wonderful team of doctors, nurse practitioners, and chemo nurses to me. They are on call for me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, always with compassion and understanding. I am so glad that God sent me to Duke where there is so much positive hope. They won’t give up on a cure and neither will I. This gives me such hope!
