CellMates Support Group

A support program for patients and siblings which allows sharing, understanding, and relaxing through therapeutic activities, imagination, and open communication. Inpatient and Outpatient.

What is a cellmates support group?

It's kids in similar circumstances coming together to help support one another during a very difficult time in their lives. 

Who can attend?

Duke Pediatric Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant inpatient or outpatient (as well as siblings) are invited to attend. 

How often does a group meet? For how long?

Groups meet for one hour each week inpatient and outpatient.

How is a group run?

Each group session is run by two facilitators who have extensive pediatric and group work experience. 

If I attend, what can I expect?

You can expect to meet other patients or siblings who may be coping with situations similar to yours and you can expect to have a good time!
